Role Description The Branch Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Timmins. This position is responsible for overseeing daily branch operations, including sales activities, inventory control, customer service, and safety compliance. The Branch Manager leads and coaches the branch team, sets performance goals, and ensures that service standards and operational procedures are consistently met. The role involves managing budgets, analyzing branch performance, implementing growth strategies, and building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal partners. The Branch Manager is also accountable for fostering a positive, inclusive work environment and supporting staff training and development.
Qualifications
- Experience in branch or operations management, preferably within distribution, electrical, or industrial supply sectors.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team supervision, coaching, performance management, and staffing.
- Background in sales and customer service, with the ability to build client relationships and identify growth opportunities.
- Knowledge of inventory management, logistics, and basic financial principles such as budgeting and margin management.
- Solid organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
- Comfort with using business software and ERP systems; proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) or equivalent tools.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Sudbury Metropolitan Area and meet physical and safety requirements of a branch environment.
- Post-secondary education in business, management, or a related field is an asset; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Familiarity with electrical products or the electrical industry is an advantage but not mandatory.
