Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a part-time Pharmacy Student to join our Earl’s Pharmacy team in Saskatoon, SK. Earl’s is a leader and innovator in the field of public LTC pharmacy services. This position will allow you to work collaboratively with a top team of experienced pharmacists, as well as nursing staff, physicians and other members of the health care team to delivery truly resident centered care. We also enjoy great relationships with group homes and supported living groups.
Patient Focused Care Responsibilities:
- Filling, preparing and labelling prescription refills.
- Billing and adjudication.
- Compounding.
- Medication change management for compliance packaging for care home customers.
- Preparing care home orders for delivery.
- Communication with nursing staff at care homes.
- Assisting the pharmacist in their daily tasks.
- Locating the medication, selecting the prescription container, and count/pour the medication.
- Ensuring that the original container, prescription container contents, and label are checked and initialled by the pharmacist.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in the PharmD program at any level.
- Previous Retail Pharmacy experience is an asset.
- Kroll experience is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and have experience multitasking.
- Professional attitude and ability to communicate well with customers and co-workers
Schedule:
- The regular shifts for this position will primarily be on weekends and statutory holidays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Additional weekday shifts may also be available, depending on the student's availability and operational requirements.
