Role Description The System Administrator role at NetFusion Designs is a contract, on-site position based in Toronto, ON. This role is responsible for managing and maintaining client servers, workstations, and network infrastructure, ensuring systems are secure, stable, and optimally configured. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring system performance, applying patches and updates, managing user accounts and permissions, performing backups and restores, and supporting cloud and virtualized environments. The System Administrator will respond to incidents and service requests, diagnose and resolve technical issues, document changes and procedures, and collaborate with other technical teams to implement improvements. This role also involves assisting with security best practices, participating in IT projects and deployments, and communicating clearly with clients and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Strong System Administration skills, including server management, operating system configuration, and user account administration.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Technical Support for hardware, software, and network-related issues in a business environment.
- Experience with Network Administration, including switching, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless network management.
- Solid Information Technology foundation, including familiarity with cloud platforms, virtualization, backup solutions, and security best practices.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, or equivalent industry credentials are an asset.
- Ability to work on-site in Toronto, ON, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Previous experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or multi-client environment is preferred.
- Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
