Role Description The Senior Financial Planner is a full-time, hybrid role based in Winnipeg, MB, with flexibility for some work from home. In this role, the planner will meet with clients to assess their financial goals, analyze current financial positions, and develop comprehensive, personalized financial plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing retirement, investment, tax, and estate planning strategies, monitoring client portfolios, and adjusting plans as circumstances change. The planner will provide ongoing advice, conduct regular review meetings, and ensure clients understand recommendations and associated risks. This role also involves collaborating with internal partners, maintaining accurate documentation, adhering to regulatory requirements, and contributing to the firm’s commitment to transparency and client education.
Qualifications
- Strong financial planning expertise, including Financial Planning and Personal Financial Planning skills.
- Advanced credentials such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation or equivalent professional certification.
- Solid foundation in Finance, with the ability to analyze complex financial situations and recommend suitable strategies.
- Proficiency in Retirement Planning, including income strategies, pension optimization, and tax-efficient withdrawal planning.
- Several years of experience in client-facing advisory roles, preferably in wealth management or financial services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and build long-term relationships.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and follow-up skills, with high attention to detail and adherence to compliance standards.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment in Winnipeg, MB, using financial planning software and digital collaboration tools.
