We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our client's Shared Services team in Vaughan. This is a hands-on, onsite position responsible for managing full-cycle payroll across both Canadian and US operations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills in ADP Workforce Now, a solid grasp of multi-jurisdiction compliance, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll for a high-volume, multi-province Canadian workforce, including both hourly and salaried employees with complex pay structures
- Administer US payroll across multiple states, ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state regulations
- Manage payroll runs accurately and on schedule using ADP Workforce Now (WFN)
- Reconcile payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and respond to employee inquiries in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with provincial and state tax requirements, statutory deductions, garnishments, and remittances
- Maintain payroll records and support internal and external audits
- Collaborate with HR and Finance on payroll-related reporting and year-end processes (T4s, W-2s, ROEs)
Requirements
- PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) certification - required
- Minimum 1 year of US payroll processing experience, multi-state
- Demonstrated experience processing high-volume, complex Canadian payroll across multiple provinces, including both hourly and salaried populations
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now (WFN) - required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict payroll deadlines
- Solid understanding of Canadian and US payroll legislation and compliance standards
