Role Description
The Marketing Specialist is a contract, on-site position based in Vaughan, Ontario. The successful candidate will support NexaVolts’ marketing and business-development initiatives, with a particular focus on the data center, energy, and industrial markets.
The role combines market research, marketing strategy, content development, customer communications, and sales support. The Marketing Specialist will work closely with NexaVolts’ sales, engineering, and technical teams to understand customer requirements, identify market opportunities, develop targeted messaging, and support customer engagement and business-development activities.
Key responsibilities include conducting market and competitive research; analyzing industry trends, customer segments, and emerging opportunities; supporting the development and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns; preparing company presentations, product materials, proposals, and other marketing collateral; and assisting the sales team with customer outreach and lead-generation activities.
The Marketing Specialist will also monitor marketing and campaign performance, maintain and update customer and prospect information in CRM systems, coordinate trade shows and industry events, support customer meetings and presentations, and assist with customer communications and follow-up activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market research on the data center, energy, industrial, mining, and power infrastructure sectors.
- Monitor industry trends, market developments, customer needs, and competitive activities.
- Identify and evaluate potential customers, market segments, business opportunities, and strategic prospects.
- Support the development and execution of B2B marketing strategies, campaigns, and lead-generation programs.
- Develop and maintain marketing materials, including company profiles, presentations, product brochures, proposal materials, case studies, and customer communications.
- Work closely with sales and technical teams to develop customer-specific messaging and marketing content.
- Support outbound customer communications, prospecting, lead follow-up, and business-development activities.
- Assist in coordinating trade shows, conferences, customer events, meetings, and other industry activities.
- Track marketing activities, campaign performance, leads, and customer engagement using CRM and other business tools.
- Maintain accurate customer, prospect, and market information.
- Provide general marketing and business-development support as required.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Strong market research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify industry trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and emerging market opportunities.
- Knowledge of B2B marketing, marketing strategy, branding, lead generation, and customer engagement.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, engineering, technical, and management teams.
- Interest in or familiarity with power infrastructure, energy, data centers, industrial technology, electrical equipment, or related technical industries is an asset.
- Previous experience in B2B, industrial, engineering, energy, technology, or infrastructure marketing is preferred.
- Experience supporting sales or business-development activities is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, presentation and marketing tools, CRM platforms, and other commonly used business software.
- Ability to work on-site in Vaughan, Ontario, and occasionally support customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows in North America.
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business, Communications, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) or Japanese is considered an additional asset, particularly for communication with international OEM partners, suppliers, and customers.
