The National Hockey League Players’ Association is the labour union for the professional hockey players in the National Hockey League. Established in 1967, and with headquarters in Toronto, the NHLPA’s principal role is to represent the players of the National Hockey League and to guarantee that their rights as players are upheld under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for administrative and financial tasks in the finance department. This includes, but is not limited to:
-Prepare bank reconciliations/journal entries
-Cheque deposits and daily cash receipt journal entries
-Accounts payable management (coding of invoices, routing for approval, payment processing etc.)
-General support on accounting and finance related tasks (e.g. Filing documents, printing and assembling of reporting deliverables etc.)
-Assist in preparation for annual audit
-Booking travel, meeting space, etc. for staff
Experience and Educational Requirements
-3-5+ years of experience working in finance, accounts receivable, accounts payable
-Experience working in a professional office environment to support productivity and operating requirements;
-Experience in client service or customer service roles, an asset.
Required Skills
-Basic Bookkeeping skills
-MS Office with advanced MS Excel
-Experience with Great Plains/Business Central, an asset
-Strong organization skills and attention to detail
-Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary Range: $55,000-$75,000 (based on experience)
