Role Description The Registered Massage Therapist provides safe, effective, and client-centered massage therapy treatments, including assessment, treatment planning, and hands-on care for a variety of musculoskeletal and stress-related conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing thorough client assessments, documenting treatment notes, maintaining professional standards of hygiene and organization in the treatment room, and collaborating with other wellness practitioners in the clinic. The RMT will educate clients on self-care, injury prevention, and ongoing treatment plans to support long-term health goals. This is a full-time on-site role based in Welland, ON, with work scheduled during clinic operating hours from Monday to Saturday.
Qualifications
- Current registration and good standing with the appropriate provincial College or regulatory body for Massage Therapists.
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and delivery of therapeutic, relaxation, and rehabilitative massage techniques.
- Knowledge of complementary wellness services (e.g., osteopathy, acupuncture, therapeutic ultrasound, naturopathic medicine) and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, explain treatment plans clearly, and maintain client confidentiality.
- Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and ethical practice, including accurate documentation and adherence to all regulatory and clinic policies.
- Ability to manage a caseload independently, maintain punctuality, and contribute to a positive, inclusive, and respectful clinic environment.
- CPR/First Aid certification and experience in a clinical or wellness setting are considered assets.
