NORDEN Energy is a growing engineering firm specializing in the development and delivery of high-voltage and renewable energy projects, including transmission lines, substations, solar PV, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
We are looking for a CAD Technologist / Engineering Draftsperson with 2–5 years of experience to join our Calgary team.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and revise electrical engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Prepare drawings for high-voltage substations, transmission lines, solar PV and BESS projects.
- Develop electrical layouts, single-line diagrams, grounding plans, equipment layouts, cable/conduit drawings and construction details.
- Incorporate engineering markups and prepare IFC and as-built drawings.
- Work closely with professional engineers and project managers.
- Coordinate drawings with civil, structural and other disciplines.
- Maintain CAD standards, templates, drawing libraries and document control.
What We're Looking For:
- 2–5 years of relevant drafting/CAD experience.
- Strong AutoCAD 2D skills - required.
- Technical diploma/certificate in drafting, engineering technology, electrical technology, or a related field is prefered.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate drawings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.
