About the Role:
The Production Assembler plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by accurately assembling components and products according to detailed specifications and quality standards. This position ensures that all assembled products meet safety and performance requirements before moving to the next stage of production or shipment. The role demands a high level of attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently within a team-oriented environment. The Production Assembler contributes to maintaining production schedules and minimizing downtime by promptly identifying and reporting any issues or defects. Ultimately, this position supports the overall operational success by delivering high-quality assembled products that meet customer expectations and company standards.
Job Duties
- Inspect raw materials before starting a job to confirm they meet product specifications
- Check the condition of all machinery before operation and notify maintenance of any issues
- Operate production equipment, including molding presses, die-cutting presses, ovens, and hot air bonding tools
- Follow product specification sheets and associated drawings accurately when producing parts
- Inspect finished parts against product specifications and tolerances for compliance
- Pack finished goods into boxes or wrap them in plastic sleeves according to packaging requirements
- Enter production time from Production Batch Orders into the computer system
- Report production, quality, and safety concerns to the Production Supervisor promptly
- Maintain a safe and clean work area by following company procedures, WorkSafeBC regulations, and PPE requirements
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- One year of manufacturing or warehouse experience is an asset
- Must read, write, and speak English to receive instructions, read specs and drawings, and communicate production and safety concerns
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong work ethic with a high regard for customer service
- Ability to work well with minimal supervision
- Physically able to safely lift 20 to 40 lbs on a regular basis
Work Conditions
- Production setting, Monday to Friday, on day or afternoon shift
- Occasional overtime may be required

- The Production Assembly Worker is accountable to the Production Supervisor, Branch Manager, and Sales department for completing products accurately and on time, and for communicating clearly and concisely when production issues come up.
