We’re Hiring: Experienced Roofing Estimator
Nortex Roofing Ltd. is looking for an Experienced Roofing Estimator to join our team in the Greater Toronto Area.
This is a full-time, on-site position for someone with solid experience in commercial and industrial roofing estimating who can confidently review drawings and specifications, complete take-offs, prepare detailed estimates, and coordinate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and addenda
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs and prepare cost estimates
• Prepare competitive bids, quotations, and detailed proposals
• Obtain and review supplier and subcontractor pricing
• Identify scope requirements, exclusions, and potential project risks
• Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings when required
• Coordinate with project managers and the operations team during project handover
• Maintain organized estimating records and follow up on submitted bids
Qualifications:
• Min 3–5 years of roofing estimating experience
• Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial roofing systems, materials, and installation methods
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documents
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Comfortable working with standard estimating and Microsoft Office tools
• Knowledge of the GTA construction and roofing market is an asset
