ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Petroleum Manager, the File Maintenance Clerk keeps our Petroleum department's pricing, inventory and paperwork accurate while giving guests prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service. It's a mix of office and front-line work, a good fit for someone who enjoys both numbers and people.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date store price files and update fuel prices in online systems
• Handle and balance daily cash counts
• Process invoices and transfers, and prepare period-end and month-end reports
• Reconcile and report fuel purchased, received, lost in delivery and held in storage tanks
• Manage petroleum product inventory and order fuel, oil and DEF products
• Dispatch orders to bulk fuel drivers and book vehicle maintenance when required
• Answer phones, take fuel orders and help guests
• Provide cashiering and guest service where needed, help with receiving, and keep the department clean and organized
• Coach and mentor other clerks, as assigned
WHAT YOU BRING
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• Strong computer and data-entry skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
• Knowledge of petroleum products
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• A high level of integrity and a strong work ethic
• The ability to work independently, learn quickly and adjust priorities in a fast-changing environment
• A team-first attitude and comfort working on a multi-generational team
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Mix of desk work and time on your feet
• Lifting up to 25 lb regularly and up to 50 lb occasionally; moving loads with a pallet jack as assigned
• Some exposure to outdoor temperatures
• On-call as required
