The Creative Services Lead oversees the planning, development, review, approval, and delivery of high-quality creative work across digital, print, social media, video, presentations, campaign materials, branded collateral, and client-facing deliverables. This position is also responsible for supporting and coordinating work for their clients, ensuring they receive a premium level of service, communication, professionalism, and creative support. The Lead must help ensure that all client work is properly scoped, tracked, and delivered to a high standard.
This role provides leadership to the Creative Services team, ensures projects are completed on time and to standard, maintains consistency across visual identity, messaging, and presentation, and supports workflow improvement, production readiness, studio organization, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and support members of the team in the execution of day-to-day work.

- Host team meetings, assign work, clarify priorities, and ensure projects move forward efficiently.

Client Coordination

- Serve as a key point of coordination between clients, internal stakeholders, leadership, and the team.
- Ensure client requests are properly understood, scoped, prioritized, tracked, and delivered in accordance with expectations.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients regarding project needs, timelines, deliverables, revisions, and approvals.
- Support the development of client-facing creative materials that reflect a high standard of quality and polish.
- Ensure client work is handled with care, urgency, and attention to detail.
- Identify opportunities to improve the client experience and strengthen the division as a premium service offering.
Creative Direction and Quality Control
- Oversee the development of creative assets across digital, print, social media, presentations, video, campaign materials, and branded collateral.
- Review and approve creative work to ensure accuracy, professionalism, brand compliance, and overall quality.
- Ensure creative output reflects the organization’s tone, visual standards, strategic direction, and expectations of excellence.
- Identify inconsistencies, errors, and quality concerns before materials are finalized or published.
- Maintain strong attention to detail in all deliverables.
- Ensure all creative work is polished, professional, and appropriate for the intended audience.
- Continuously explore creative improvements, new ideas, better formats, and higher-quality approaches to strengthen the division’s work.
Project and Workflow Management
- Oversee creative workflows, timelines, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure projects are completed on time and at a high standard.
- Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while balancing deadlines, team capacity, client needs, and business priorities.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external clients to understand project objectives and convert them into clear creative deliverables.
- Maintain visibility over project status, bottlenecks, upcoming deliverables, and team workload.
- Improve project execution through structure, planning, organization, and process discipline.
- Ensure work is properly tracked, documented, assigned, and followed through to completion.
- Escalate delays, concerns, missing information, or quality issues in a timely and professional manner.
Charging, Tracking, and Accountability for Work
- Ensure all work is properly tracked, recorded, and accounted for.
- Ensure that all past and future work completed for the company and its subsidiaries is reviewed and charged accordingly where applicable.
- Support accurate internal tracking of time, services, deliverables, and project scope.
- Help ensure the division operates with appropriate business discipline, including proper billing awareness, scope management, and documentation.
- Identify work that may fall outside of standard expectations or agreed scope and bring it forward for review.
- Work with leadership to ensure the division's pricing, billing, and service expectations are followed appropriately.
- Maintain accountability for ensuring creative work is not overlooked, undervalued, or completed without proper tracking.
Social Media, Brand, and Content Execution
- Lead and support the production of high-quality social media content that reflects the organization’s brand, tone, values, and standards of excellence.
- Develop and submit a minimum of two high-impact, quality posts per week for approval, unless otherwise directed by leadership.
- Ensure posts are thoughtful, polished, brand-aligned, and reflective of the companies commitment to excellence and exploration.
- Submit social media posts for approval in accordance with the approval process previously outlined.
- Ensure content is not published without proper review and approval where required.
- Support and review content for websites, social media, email campaigns, video, presentations, and promotional materials.
- Ensure all content remains visually strong, audience-appropriate, accurate, and aligned with the companies brand identity.
- Stay current with trends in content creation, digital design, branding, and social media best practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with leadership and other divisions to support marketing, communications, branding, events, client service, and business development initiatives.
- Translate organizational goals into visual and multimedia content that is effective, polished, and aligned with strategic priorities.
- Liaise with employees, managers, vendors, and clients as needed to ensure creative needs are clearly understood and properly delivered.
- Present ideas, recommendations, updates, and creative concepts professionally in both internal and external settings.
- Represent the division with professionalism, confidence, and care.
Studio, Production, and Operational Oversight
- Support the effective day-to-day operation of the creative and studio environment.
- Maintain the creative space in an organized, functional, and professional manner.
- Provide guidance on basic production-related issues and help ensure continuity when technical or equipment questions arise.
- Attend relevant production or content briefings to stay informed and support team execution.
- Escalate concerns, delays, equipment issues, or operational matters in a timely and professional way.
- Help ensure the studio and production environment reflects the professionalism expected.
Systems, Process Improvement, and Accountability
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality control, communication, and accountability within the creative workflow.
- Support the implementation or optimization of tools and systems that improve project coordination and reduce avoidable errors.
- Contribute to the organization and tracking of relevant information in internal systems where applicable.
- Recommend process improvements that strengthen team execution and support measurable results.
- Explore tools such as CRM systems, project management platforms, social media management tools, and other systems that may improve operations.
- Support better visibility into active work, completed work, client requests, internal requests, timelines, and approvals.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a creative leadership, design, marketing, content, or project management role.
- Strong background in graphic design, multimedia content creation, branding, visual communications, or creative production.
- Proven ability to manage multiple creative projects from concept to completion.
- Strong leadership, communication, client service, and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Ability to coordinate client-facing creative work with professionalism and care.
- Strong understanding of digital, print, social media, video, and branded content requirements.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with project management tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments while managing competing priorities.
- Ability to support billing awareness, scope tracking, and accountability for creative work.
- Experience in video production, animation, motion graphics, UX/UI, social media strategy, or creative campaign development is considered an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
