Senior Sous Chef – Full Time (45 Hours per Week)

Moxies Barlow is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Sous Chef to support our culinary leadership team. This is a full‑time position, scheduled 5 days per week, averaging 45 hours weekly.
Position Summary
The Senior Sous Chef plays a key role in ensuring operational excellence within the kitchen. This position supports the Chef in overseeing daily execution, maintaining brand standards, and fostering a culture of consistency, accountability, and professional development. The Senior Sous Chef is expected to assume full leadership responsibilities in the Chef’s absence.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Chef in managing all back‑of‑house operations
- Ensure consistent execution of all menu items in accordance with company specifications
- Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff to maintain performance and operational standards
- Oversee daily line operations, prep levels, and station readiness
- Assist with scheduling, labor management, and performance evaluations
- Maintain compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Monitor inventory levels, participate in ordering, and support waste‑reduction initiatives
- Ensure adherence to corporate culinary standards and operational procedures
- Support implementation of new menu items, training programs, and corporate initiatives
- Promote a positive, professional, and inclusive work environment
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of leadership experience in a high‑volume kitchen environment
- Strong technical culinary skills across multiple stations
- Proven ability to lead teams and uphold performance standards
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities
- Demonstrated commitment to food quality, safety, and operational consistency
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism
