Northside Industries is looking for a Customer Order Administrator to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to learn how a manufacturing business operates and build practical experience in customer service, operations, supply chain, and production planning.
We're looking for someone dependable, detail-oriented, willing to learn, and able to use good judgement when solving problems.
As you learn the role, you'll become an important link between our customers and operations team, helping ensure customer orders and information are accurate so our production team can keep things moving.
What You'll Do
Keep Customer Orders on Track
- Enter and update customer orders, forecasts, releases, and schedule changes in our ERP system.
- Review information for accuracy and identify anything that doesn't look right.
- Keep customer and order information organized and up to date.
- Help ensure our production team has the information they need to plan and deliver customer orders on time.
Learn Our Systems
- Work with our ERP system, customer portals, and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes.
- Review customer transactions and make sure information flows accurately between systems.
- Learn how customer demand connects to production schedules and manufacturing operations.
- Build valuable hands-on experience with systems and processes used throughout manufacturing and supply chain environments.
Solve Problems
- Investigate order discrepancies, rejected transactions, and other issues as they arise.
- Ask the right questions, gather information, and work through problems to find solutions.
- Learn which issues you can resolve independently and when something needs to be escalated.
- Work with Operations, Production Scheduling, Accounting, and customers to resolve issues.
Help Keep Things Running Smoothly
- Communicate order changes, timing concerns, and important information to the right people.
- Manage multiple tasks and priorities without losing sight of the details.
- Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and follow through.
- Look for opportunities to improve how work gets done as you become familiar with the role.

Experience That Would Be Helpful
The following would be an asset, but is not required:
- Previous experience in customer service, administration, order processing, operations, or a similar environment.
- Experience with ERP systems or customer portals.
- Exposure to manufacturing, production, logistics, or supply chain.
- Knowledge of EDI systems and processes.

Working Conditions
- Full-time, in-office position in West Kelowna.
- Manufacturing environment with occasional shop-floor exposure.
- Personal protective equipment provided when required.
- Overtime may occasionally be required during peak periods.
