• Individual Income Tax Preparation: Prepare and file federal and state individual income tax returns (such as IRS Form 1040) along with relevant schedules (Schedule A, C, D, E).
• Income and Deduction Analysis: Gather W-2s, 1099s, K-1s, and investment statements to capture all eligible itemized or standard deductions, charitable contributions, and credits.
• Freelance and Self-Employment Support: Help independent contractors, gig workers, and sole proprietors track business expenses, calculate self-employment tax, and file quarterly estimates.
• Estate and Gift Tax Planning: Assist clients with multi-generational wealth transfer, trust and fiduciary tax returns (Form 1041), and gift tax filings (Form 709).
• Year-Round Tax Projection: Run mid-year or end-of-year tax projections to advise clients on major financial moves, such as selling real estate, exercising stock options (ISOs/RSUs), or maximizing retirement contributions (401k/IRA).
Corporate tax accountants focus on business entities, including C-corporations, S-corporations, partnerships, and LLCs.
• Corporate Tax Return Preparation: Prepare and file federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns (such as IRS Form 1120 or 1120-S).
• Tax Provision and Accounting: Calculate tax provisions for financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or IFRS, reconciling book income with taxable income.
