NUMIS CPAs is offering 2 co-op positions at our Vancouver Office! Gain hands-on public accounting experience while contributing to dynamic projects and supporting our expert team. This is a 4 month Co-Op Position for middle of January - end of April 2026.
Core Responsibilities And Duties
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns, working papers, and other accounting tasks to support clients in managing their personal and business accounting and tax needs.
- Provide basic administrative support, including scanning, filing, organizing documents, and maintaining accurate client records.
- Assist with basic cross-border tax and administrative tasks, including organizing documentation, gathering client information, and supporting the preparation of U.S. and Canadian tax filings.
- Collaborate with our team on client engagements, helping to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information and client data.
- Communicate with CRA to gather necessary information and support timely service delivery.
- Contribute to the team culture at NUMIS by promoting teamwork, collaboration, and engagement within the firm.
What We Are Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution pursuing an undergraduate degree with a focus in accounting
- Some prior relevant experience would be considered an asset
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong focus on client service
- Detail oriented individual with organizational and analytical skills
- Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in work
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, and SharePoint
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
