About the Team You will be joining the Nutanix Cloud Manager engineering team. We are a group of builders dedicated to streamlining management, deployment, and scaling of applications through self-service and centralized role-based IT governance. We operate in a culture of high technical mentorship and autonomy, working closely to drive financial accountability and unify security operations with intelligent analysis.
Your Role
- Improve performance and scalability of internal back-end components across a variety of languages including C/C++, Go, Python, and Java.
- Diagnose and debug deep, insidious issues within massively parallel systems and async network code.
- Build systems management software to manage the application life cycle in the software-defined scale-out data center.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and support engineers to deliver robust, web-scale solutions.
What You Will Bring
- BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering with 7-10 years of experience in building high-performance, fault-tolerant distributed applications.
- Familiarity with OS internals, distributed data management, and web-scale systems.
- Strong proficiency in Linux and experience in at least one of the following: GoLang, C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Working experience with storage, networking, virtualization (Nutanix, VMware, KVM), and/or cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with database systems (SQL, Document-based) and messaging technologies (NATS, Kafka, Pulsar).

The pay range for this position at the commencement of employment is expected to be between CAD 171,000 and CAD 257,000 per year.
Work Arrangement Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Vancouver, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
