Security Specialist to lead the implementation and delivery of commercial security solutions for our growing client base.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with excellent problem-solving skills, project management experience, and a commitment to customer satisfaction, quality, and safety.
What You'll Do
As our Security Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting commercial security systems, including:
- Video surveillance (CCTV)
- Access control systems
- Intrusion alarm systems
- IP-based and network-connected security solutions
You will work directly with customers to assess security requirements, recommend appropriate solutions, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Serving as the subject matter expert for security systems
- Troubleshooting technical issues and resolving system challenges
- Collaborating with sales, estimating, operations teams, and customers
- Reviewing completed work to ensure quality and regulatory compliance
- Preparing project documentation, system reports, and closeout packages
- Mentoring and supporting technicians through coaching and technical guidance
- Providing customer training on system operation and best practices
- Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring safe work practices are followed
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 5 years of experience with commercial security systems, electronic security, or integrated building technologies
- Strong knowledge of video surveillance, access control, intrusion alarms, and IP-based security solutions
- Solid networking knowledge, including IP addressing, switches, and connected devices
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and customer relationship management abilities
- Experience managing project implementation plans, budgets, resources, and timelines
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and system documentation
- A valid driver's license
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel throughout Atlantic Canada as needed
Preferred Qualifications

- Manufacturer certifications in security products and platforms
- Experience with enterprise-level security and integrated security systems
- Industry certifications and security licensing
- Experience conducting customer consultations, site assessments, and developing security recommendations
