The Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta (OIPC) ensures public bodies, health custodians, and private sector organizations comply with Alberta's access and privacy laws, including the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP Act), the Health Information Act (HIA), and the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

Operating independently of government, the OIPC is dedicated to enforcing and overseeing access and privacy laws in Alberta.
