Who We Are
Ohata Resource Canada Inc. operates an electronic scrap purchasing and recycling business in Richmond, British Columbia. Backed by nearly three decades of experience developed by our group in Japan, we are expanding our services and business relationships across North America.
We are seeking a resourceful professional who can support both our marketing initiatives and our everyday office operations. This position is well suited to someone who enjoys varied responsibilities and can move comfortably between digital advertising, performance reporting, written content, social media, record keeping, and general administration.
As part of a small international team, the successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of assignments across several business functions. This is not a narrowly specialized marketing role. It requires a combination of marketing knowledge, writing ability, organization, accuracy, and a willingness to assist wherever needed.
What You Will Do
Paid Advertising and Campaign Support
- Build, maintain, evaluate, and improve campaigns within Google Ads
- Research relevant search terms and develop advertising copy
- Review campaign structure, audience settings, keyword selections, budgets, and conversion configurations for accuracy
- Track advertising indicators such as clicks, cost per click, conversions, and overall campaign results
- Identify areas where campaign efficiency or lead generation could be improved
- Summarize advertising results and present practical recommendations to management
- Work with management and technical support when changes to website tracking or conversion measurement are necessary
Website Analytics and Marketing Reports
- Review website activity, visitor acquisition, user behaviour, and conversions through Google Analytics 4
- Assess how website pages, articles, advertisements, and other digital materials are performing
- Recognize meaningful changes in traffic and identify possible data-collection or tracking problems
- Verify that information from Google Ads and GA4 is being captured correctly
- Maintain organized marketing records and produce understandable reports for internal review
- Translate performance data into suggestions for future campaigns, website improvements, and content planning
Search Visibility and Digital Content
- Identify useful keywords and topics connected to electronics recycling, electronic scrap, and the company’s purchasing services
- Develop and publish search-friendly articles, website copy, and other written materials.
- Optimize content using appropriate page headings, keyword placement, metadata, internal links, and descriptive image text
- Research technical subjects and verify information before publication
- Keep company, service, and purchasing information accurate across online channels
- Plan and publish business content through LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, and other relevant platforms
- Maintain organized publishing schedules for website and social media content
- Photograph and record short videos of inventory, warehouse activities, equipment, purchases, and company operations
- Prepare graphics and basic photo or video materials with Canva and similar editing applications
- Review audience response and content results to guide future improvements
- Contribute to email campaigns, promotions, and other marketing projects when required
Office, Inventory, and Record Management
- Record purchasing and inventory details in the company’s internal management system.
- Keep customer, supplier, transaction, and inventory information complete and accurate.
- Verify entries and supporting information before submitting documents or reports.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with basic reconciliation.
- Communicate with warehouse personnel regarding materials received or released.
- Maintain orderly digital files and physical records in accordance with company procedures.
- Create routine spreadsheets, correspondence, summaries, and internal documents.
- Respond appropriately to general emails, messages, and business inquiries.
- Provide additional administrative assistance to management as operational needs arise.
What We Are Looking For
- Two or more years of relevant experience in areas such as digital marketing, marketing coordination, content production, office administration, or a comparable field.
- Practical experience working directly with Google Ads campaigns
- Ability to use Google Analytics 4 to examine website and advertising results
- Understanding of marketing measurements, including traffic, clicks, conversions, cost per click, and campaign performance
- Experience with keyword research, SEO writing, and fundamental on-page optimization
- A background in producing professional material such as articles, webpages, promotional copy, or social media posts
- Experience publishing business content through LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, or similar channels.
- Familiarity with Canva and basic image or video production tools.
- Previous involvement in administrative work, spreadsheet maintenance, data entry, or business record management
- Strong written English and the ability to research, edit, proofread, and verify information.
- Careful attention to detail and a reliable approach to record keeping
- Ability to organize competing priorities across marketing and administrative assignments.
- Capacity to work responsibly and independently
- Willingness to work in both office and warehouse settings
- Current legal authorization to work in Canada
A driver’s licence is not required.
Additional Assets
The following qualifications would be beneficial but are not mandatory:
- Valid Google Analytics certification
- Valid Google Ads certification
- Familiarity with Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, conversion measurement, or other search-marketing tools
- Experience publishing through a website content management system
- Knowledge of email marketing or other digital campaign methods
- Experience supporting inventory, business operations, customers, or administrative processes
- Previous writing experience involving electronics, recycling, sustainability, technology, or another technical subject
- Ability to communicate in Japanese or Chinese
- Experience working with an international or multilingual organization
Working Hours
- 40 hours each week
- Regular hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a one-hour unpaid meal break
- The standard workweek consists of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and one weekend day
- The weekend shift may fall on Saturday or Sunday according to operational requirements.
- Candidates must be available to work a regular weekend shift
- Overtime is not ordinarily anticipated
Pay and Employee Benefits
- The position pays between CAD $22.00 and $28.00 per hour
- The expected rate during the initial three-month probationary period is CAD $22.00 per hour
- Following successful completion of probation, pay may be reassessed within the stated range. Any adjustment will take into account performance, qualifications, assigned responsibilities, and business circumstances

Eligibility to Work in Canada
