Role Description This full-time Cabinet Maker role is an on-site position located in Vars, ON. The Cabinet Maker will interpret drawings and specifications to build custom cabinets and millwork components, including cutting, shaping, and assembling wood and wood-based materials. Daily tasks include operating woodworking machinery and hand tools, fitting hardware, sanding, and finishing pieces to meet exacting quality standards. The role involves collaborating with the production team to ensure accurate measurements, efficient workflows, and timely completion of projects. The Cabinet Maker will also be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe workspace and following all safety procedures and quality control guidelines.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Millwork and Cabinetry, with experience producing custom, premium-grade wood components.
- Proficiency in Carpentry and Woodworking, including safe use of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
- Ability in Spatial Design and reading technical drawings, plans, and cut lists with accurate measurement and layout.
- Attention to detail in fitting, assembly, sanding, and finishing to meet high craftsmanship standards.
- Experience in a shop or manufacturing environment, with adherence to health and safety protocols.
- Reliable time management, ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and willingness to learn new techniques.
- Relevant trade certification or apprenticeship in cabinetry, millwork, or carpentry is an asset.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting materials, standing for extended periods, and operating equipment safely.
