Om Organics is a fast-growing Canadian skincare company and a leader in natural, organic skincare. Based in Invermere, British Columbia, we formulate and manufacture our products in-house and serve customers across Canada and beyond through our growing omnichannel business, including ecommerce, wholesale, and retail.
As we continue to scale, we're looking for an experienced operations leader who is excited by growth and wants the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on how a growing Canadian brand operates.
The Senior Manager, Operations & Supply Chain will work directly with the CEO and take ownership of the operational functions that move our products from planning and procurement through production, inventory, fulfillment, and ultimately into our customers' hands.
This is a hands-on senior leadership role for someone who can see the big picture, build strong systems and processes, and lead people effectively while staying closely connected to day-to-day operations.
The Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Senior Manager, Operations & Supply Chain will oversee Production and Fulfillment, with the Production Manager and Fulfillment Lead reporting directly to this position.
The role will be responsible for ensuring we have the right products, materials, inventory, people, and capacity in place to meet demand across our ecommerce, wholesale, and retail channels.
A major component of the position will be forecasting, production planning, purchasing, and procurement. You'll translate sales trends, promotional plans, inventory levels, lead times, and business growth into actionable purchasing and production plans.
You'll also be responsible for strengthening the systems, processes, accountability, and operational discipline required to support Om Organics through its next stage of growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Leadership
- Provide leadership and oversight across Production, Fulfillment, Inventory, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
- Directly manage and develop the Production Manager and Fulfillment Lead.
- Establish clear expectations, priorities, KPIs, and accountability across operational teams.
- Build scalable systems and processes that improve efficiency, accuracy, productivity, and visibility.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and proactively implement solutions.
- Work closely with the CEO and leadership team on capacity planning and broader company growth initiatives.
- Help prepare the operation, systems, and team for continued growth and increased volume.
Forecasting & Production Planning
- Develop rolling demand forecasts using historical sales, current trends, inventory levels, promotional calendars, wholesale demand, and growth projections.
- Translate demand forecasts into practical production plans and purchasing requirements.
- Establish appropriate inventory targets, reorder points, and safety stock levels.
- Balance inventory availability with working capital and storage capacity.
- Monitor finished goods and raw material inventory to proactively identify shortages or excess inventory.
- Coordinate production priorities across product families while ensuring out-of-stock and low-stock products are addressed appropriately.
- Plan production capacity against expected demand and identify future capacity constraints before they become operational issues.
Procurement & Purchasing
- Own purchasing and procurement of raw materials, packaging, components, and other operational supplies.
- Maintain strong relationships with Canadian and international suppliers.
- Manage supplier lead times, minimum order quantities, pricing, quality, and reliability.
- Negotiate pricing and purchasing terms where appropriate.
- Maintain purchasing forecasts to ensure materials arrive ahead of production requirements.
- Identify supply chain risks and develop contingency plans for critical materials and components.
- Continuously look for opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen supplier performance.
Inventory & Systems Management
- Maintain accurate inventory across raw materials, work-in-progress, finished goods, and multiple locations.
- Oversee inventory processes within Katana MRP and related operational systems.
- Improve inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, standardized processes, and clear ownership.
- Ensure manufacturing orders, stock movements, production consumption, and finished goods are accurately reflected within Katana.
- Develop reporting that provides leadership with clear visibility into inventory, purchasing, production, and fulfillment performance.
- Help strengthen the connection between forecasting, purchasing, production planning, inventory, and sales demand.
Production Leadership
- Support the Production Manager in developing efficient weekly and monthly production schedules.
- Ensure production priorities align with inventory requirements and sales forecasts.
- Monitor production capacity, output, labour requirements, and productivity.
- Support continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and workflow.
- Ensure production environments maintain high standards of organization, cleanliness, quality, and efficiency.
- Help identify equipment, staffing, space, and infrastructure requirements as the company grows.
Fulfillment & Logistics
- Provide leadership and oversight to the Fulfillment Lead and warehouse team.
- Ensure accurate and efficient fulfillment across DTC ecommerce, wholesale/B2B, and retail channels.
- Establish and monitor productivity, accuracy, turnaround-time, and labour-efficiency KPIs.
- Optimize warehouse layout, inventory flow, picking, packing, boxing, and shipping processes.
- Ensure staffing levels align with order volume and seasonal demand.
- Continuously improve fulfillment efficiency while maintaining a high standard of order accuracy and customer experience.
People Leadership
- Coach and develop operational managers and team leads.
- Build clear accountability and ownership within each department.
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and workforce planning.
- Create an environment where expectations are clear, communication is strong, and problems are addressed proactively.
- Develop leaders within the operations team so that departments can operate effectively without unnecessary day-to-day escalation.

You can move comfortably between strategic and hands-on work. One day you may be reviewing a six-month demand forecast or negotiating with a supplier; the next you may be walking the production floor, reviewing warehouse productivity, or helping a manager solve an operational bottleneck.

You're also a strong people leader. You know how to set expectations, hold people accountable, coach managers, and create a positive, high-performing team environment.
Qualifications & Experience
We're looking for someone with:
- 5+ years of progressive experience in operations, supply chain, manufacturing, inventory management, procurement, or a related field.
- Previous experience leading managers, supervisors, or operational teams.
- Strong experience with demand forecasting, purchasing, procurement, and inventory planning.
- Experience working within a manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, beauty, skincare, food, wellness, or similar product-based environment.
- Experience managing operations within an omnichannel business is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with inventory, sales, productivity, and operational data.
- Experience with Katana MRP is an asset; experience with another MRP, ERP, or manufacturing inventory platform is also highly relevant.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- Experience developing and managing operational KPIs.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational leadership.
