What you will do:
- Maintain current AR aging by posting all incoming payments and following up with delinquent accounts.
- Maintain accounting system and internal controls to provide accurate, timely financial statements and effective control to safeguard hotel assets.
- Respond to all billing inquiries by phone or email.
- Oversees the day-to-day execution of general ledger impacted processes, including support to departments to monitor productivity and work closely with department managers to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Support month end closing procedures, prepare journal entries, and maintain reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts in established corporate formats and in accordance with accepted accounting principles.
- Executing additional tasks and responsibilities as delegated by the Director of Finance, which may include aiding in forecasting, budgeting, conducting risk assessments, and conducting comprehensive account analyses.
What you bring:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role, Hospitality experience is an asset.
- Post-secondary diploma in Accounting, Business or Finance and/or currently enrolled in CPA program.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks.
- Able to set goals and standards that are decisive and achievement oriented while finding solutions that are beneficial to guests, associates, and the organization.
- Must have a high degree of professional integrity and confidentiality, and work in a safe, prudent, and organized manner.
- Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal correspondence.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems; establish facts and draw conclusions.
- A cheerful demeanor and proactive approach to every task are essential.
- Strong computer skills including knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel), data-based software, email, and web browsers.
Salary Range:
$60,000 - $65,000 per year
