Role Description The Medium Voltage Project Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Orangeville, ON. This position oversees the planning and coordination of medium voltage construction and maintenance projects, ensuring schedules, budgets, and safety standards are met. Day-to-day tasks include organizing project documentation, coordinating resources and subcontractors, tracking progress, and communicating updates to internal teams and clients. The coordinator supports field crews with logistics and material ordering, assists with permitting and inspections, and helps resolve issues that arise during project execution. The role works closely with project managers and site supervisors to facilitate efficient workflows and successful project delivery.
Qualifications
- Experience coordinating electrical or civil construction projects, ideally involving medium voltage systems (e.g., distribution lines, substations, duct banks).
- Knowledge of medium voltage power distribution, pole line work, and underground systems, with an understanding of safety regulations and industry standards.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, including scheduling, task prioritization, and document control.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with field crews, project managers, clients, and vendors.
- Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., MS Office) and project coordination tools; ability to interpret drawings and technical documentation is an asset.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability, with a focus on safety, quality, and cost control.
- Relevant education in electrical engineering technology, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent experience in the industry.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to work on-site and occasionally visit project locations as required.
