Founded in 1997. Over the years, OPAL-RT has become a world leader in the development of PC/FPGA-based real-time simulators, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing equipment and Rapid Control Prototyping (RCP) systems to design, test and optimize control and protection systems used in power grids, power electronics, motor drives, automotive, trains, aircraft and various industries, as well as R&D centers and universities.

Following the success of OPAL-RT Technologies global, the India office of OPAL-RT Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. was started in 2012 to meet the growing needs of the customers in Indian sub continent.

OPAL-RT’s turnkey test benches use purpose-built I/Os and communications protocols specifically designed to address the precise requirements of real-time verification, validation, and certification of complex networks like Aerospace control systems, Power systems and Automobiles.

The company's core software, RT-LAB, enables users to rapidly develop models suitable for Real-Time Simulation, while minimizing initial investment and their cost of ownership. OPAL-RT also develops mathematical solvers and models specialized for accurate simulation of power electronic systems and electrical grids. RT-LAB and OPAL-RT solvers and models are integrated with advanced field programmable gate array (FPGA) I/O and processing boards to form complete solutions for RCP and HIL testing.
