SummaryWe are looking for an EHS Technician to support health, safety, environmental, and operational activities across the facility. This role will assist with workplace safety programs, employee training, inspections, compliance documentation, and ongoing site support to help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support department leadership with day-to-day EHS and operational priorities.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of workplace safety and compliance initiatives.
- Help coordinate employee safety training, inspections, document control, and records management.
- Support hazard identification, corrective actions, internal safety reviews, and follow-up activities.
- Maintain accurate EHS documentation, reports, and compliance records.
- Work with different departments to reinforce safe work practices and consistent adherence to procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts aimed at improving efficiency, reducing delays, and strengthening operational processes.
- Support broader site priorities related to safety, quality, productivity, housekeeping, asset care, customer service, and employee development.
- Assist operations and maintenance teams with day-to-day tasks as required.
- Help promote a workplace culture focused on safety, accountability, compliance, and operational performance.
Qualifications & Experience- Minimum 2 years of experience in EHS, occupational health and safety, safety compliance, or a related workplace safety role.
- Education or training in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related technical field is preferred.
- A technical diploma, college credential, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent relevant experience is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety programs, environmental practices, regulatory compliance, industrial hygiene, medical programs, and risk management is preferred.
- EHS certifications or additional health and safety training are considered a strong asset.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
