We are currently hiring an EHS Technician for a full-time, 6-month term opportunity.
This position will support day-to-day environmental, health, and safety activities across the facility, with a strong focus on workplace safety, compliance, inspections, employee training, documentation, and operational support.
Type: Full-time, 6-month term
Pay: ~$20-22/hour (based on experience)
What You'll Be Doing
- Assist site leadership with daily EHS priorities and safety-related initiatives
- Support the rollout and ongoing administration of workplace health and safety programs
- Coordinate safety training, inspections, documentation, and recordkeeping
- Help identify workplace hazards and support corrective actions and follow-up
- Maintain accurate EHS records, reports, and compliance documentation
- Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and other departments to reinforce safe work practices
- Participate in internal safety reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support efforts to improve operational efficiency, housekeeping, quality, productivity, and overall site performance
- Provide hands-on support to operational and maintenance teams where required
- Help foster a workplace culture built around safety, accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
- At least 2 years of experience in EHS, occupational health and safety, safety compliance, or a related field
- Education or training in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related technical discipline is preferred
- A technical diploma, college credential, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent relevant experience is considered an asset
- Familiarity with workplace safety programs, regulatory compliance, environmental practices, industrial hygiene, risk management, or workplace medical programs
- EHS certifications or additional health and safety training are considered a strong asset
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
