Original job description
About Opex Labs
Opex Labs is an AI consultancy. We engineer custom AI agents, autonomous workflows, and enterprise integrations (ERP, CRM, databases) to eliminate manual bottlenecks for fast-growing businesses and traditional enterprises. We replace spreadsheets and tribal knowledge with resilient, intelligent infrastructure.
The Role
We are looking for a Technical Content Strategist & Creative Producer to own our content engine from narrative architecture to visual execution.
You will work directly with our founders and Forward Deployed Engineers to turn real-world AI agent deployments, workflow breakdowns, and technical case studies into compelling video and written content across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and X.
You do not need to shoot or edit footage - we have an in-house videographer and video editor. Your job is to be the brain, writer, and visual director of our production pipeline: ideating formats, drafting high-retention scripts, prototyping visual diagrams in Figma, and directing our production team to final delivery.
Key Responsibilities1. Content Strategy & Narrative Planning
Build and manage a multi-channel content calendar targeting business operators, founders, and COOs.
Translate complex client engagements (e.g., manufacturing automation, ERP connectors, multi-agent pipelines) into digestible, high-impact stories focused on business ROI.
Continuously research industry trends, enterprise pain points, and algorithmic performance (watch time, CTR, retention curves).
2. Technical Scriptwriting & Storytelling
Write complete, production-ready video scripts engineered with strong hooks, tight pacing, and clear takeaways.
Break down technical concepts - like agentic tool calling, RAG architectures, and database syncs - without relying on superficial buzzwords or generic AI hype.
3. Visual Direction & Prototyping
Create wireframes, storyboards, and visual explainers using Figma, Miro, Excalidraw, or Canva.
Prototype technical architecture flowcharts, UI mockups, and visual metaphors to give the videographer and editor an unambiguous visual blueprint.
Concept high-CTR thumbnails, title cards, and on-screen graphics style guides.
4. Production Leadership & Review
Run pre-production briefings with our in-house videographer to plan shot lists, camera framing, and b-roll.
Direct the video editor during the rough-cut and fine-cut stages, providing frame-by-frame pacing and storytelling feedback.
Ensure all published content maintains high technical accuracy and aesthetic consistency.
Requirements
Experience: 2–5 years in content strategy, technical storytelling, or creative production (B2B SaaS, dev tools, agency, or tech media).
Technical Fluency: Deep conceptual understanding of how modern software and AI work (APIs, webhooks, databases, LLM agents, and automation workflows). You don’t need to code, but you must be able to hold technical discussions with software engineers.
Basic Design Skills: Hands-on proficiency with tools like Figma, Canva, or Miro. You should be comfortable building clean slide decks, visual wireframes, and flowcharts.
Scriptwriting Craft: Demonstrated portfolio of video scripts or technical breakdowns optimized for viewer retention and clear communication.
Production Leadership: Strong organizational skills and the ability to give constructive, actionable creative feedback to video editors and camera operators.
Nice to Haves
Prior experience working at an early-stage startup, developer tooling company, or technical YouTube channel.
Familiarity with screen-recording and UI demo best practices.
Basic understanding of platform SEO and thumbnail psychology.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary: ₹12,00,000 – ₹18,00,000 LPA (commensurate with portfolio depth and technical fluency).
Direct collaboration with founding team and engineers working on production AI systems.
Flexible working hours and hybrid/remote work environment.
High creative autonomy to experiment with new video and media formats.
