Position Overview
Are you passionate about making a difference in people's lives and helping them turn a new page? Join us as a Shelter Worker, where you’ll be on the front lines of change, offering vital emergency care and empowering individuals to reclaim their independence. Here, you'll engage with residents with empathy and drive, collaborating to achieve meaningful goals and transforming lives.
Reporting to the Program Manager, our selected candidate will ensure that our residents have a safe and welcoming environment by securing the premises, conducting minor repairs, and responding to unsafe actions and conflicts among residents. Your role will include handling 24-hour referrals, extending stays as needed, and managing intake and orientation. You'll oversee the care and safety of both the residents and the shelter, set clear boundaries, and foster a positive atmosphere. Additionally, you'll supervise basic life skills, assist with hygiene, address resident barriers with collaborative plans, and provide resources and support while modeling appropriate behavior and encouraging resident participation.
