What youll accomplish: -Provide supervision of Metallurgists and Metallurgical Technicians, and take ownership of the Lab-Provide leadership to the team, including performance feedback on tasks and objectives-Provide technical support/context to all Mill departments-Assist with planning, scheduling and coordination of personnel and resources -Fill in as point of contact when Technical Superintendent is not on site-Help co-ordinate activities, information, materials or resources to meet deadlines-Ensure cross-checks are completed as related to routine reporting-Review reports and trends of mill performance and reagent consumption-Attend operational and leadership meetings-Provide input to the budgeting process, including identification of infrastructure and training-Actively demonstrate a commitment to Safety and Environmental stewardship Qualifications and skills:-A degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering and eligible for registration as a P. Eng with APEGS-8+ years experience, preferably within both operational and engineering environments-Proficient in the conventional unit processes in mineral processing and hydrometallurgy-Experience in project management will be an asset-Proficient in working with Microsoft Office suite-Working knowledge of the process data system SQL/Access and OSIsoft PI-Ability to innovate in the areas of uranium processing with a focus on plant efficiency, capital and operating cost optimization and compliance to environmental regulations-Working knowledge of risk assessment (HAZID/HAZOP) will be an asset Work Location & Schedule:-McClean Lake site -14 days in and 14 days out rotating schedule-Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside or normal working hours may be required
