Herb Farm Assistant – Organic Herb Trading
Location: Milverton, Somerset
Salary: Real Living Wage – £23,914.80 Hours: 36.5 hrs/week, Mon–Fri 8am–4pm
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Organic Herb Trading has been sourcing and growing high-quality organic herbs, spices and botanicals for over 40 years. We grow 50+ varieties across our two-acre herb field and supply leading ethical and wellness brands.
About The Role
We’re looking for someone with commercial organic growing experience, strong plant knowledge and a hands-on, can-do attitude to support all aspects of herb production. Work is outdoors year-round and fully manual - propagation, planting, composting, harvesting and plenty of weeding.
Weekend availability is required on a rota basis. Due to our rural location and multi-site work, a full UK driving licence and reliable transport are essential.
What You’ll Need
- Previous commercial organic growing experience
- Knowledge of propagation, seed sowing, crop rotations, and non-chemical pest/disease management
- Experience with crop/harvest planning
- Physically fit, organised, motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Horticultural qualification or equivalent experience
