DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review timecards and shift schedules to ensure consistency and to create attendance reports.
- Create “Quality Assurance Reports” as needed to flag inconsistencies.
- Prepare Attendance Reports and Invoice Supporting Documentation Reports.
- Be a Subject Matter Expert on TrackTik and provide support and coaching to guards and new staff.
- Assist in the logistical scheduling of Crossing Guards, receiving, tracking, and filling leave requests (including last minute/ same day time off requests, longer term leave, and vacated positions).
- Supports retention and recruitment activities as needed.
- Assist the Senior Coordinator with logistical aspects of the program including meetings, seminars, workshops, special projects, and events.
- Triage and respond to telephone, email, and in-person inquiries from Crossing Guards.
- Assist with site visits as necessary.
- Promptly reports any potentially dangerous situations to the Operations Manager.
- Coach guards when they clock in late or clock out early, ensuring they adhere to their shift schedules.
- Set up accounts and profiles for newly hired guards.
- Explain how to navigate the app and utilize its features effectively.
- Provide practical training for newly hired guards by taking them on site and demonstrate standard crossing guard practices, correct their techniques when necessary, and share tips to improve their performance.
- Dispatch supervisors when needed and assign tasks to supervisors and manage their shifts in cases where guards are unavailable for coverage.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- English essential, other languages an asset.
- Experience with recruitment as an asset.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Willingness to travel if required (within Etobicoke).
- Works well with others and takes direction and criticism in a positive manner.
- Highly effective prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Energetic, self-motivated, and results – oriented.
- Politically and culturally sensitive.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Ability to occasionally lift items as heavy as 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Local travel is required occasionally.
- May require occasional weekend or evening work.
- Currently a Hybrid Work Environment.
COMPENSATION
$50,000 – $60,000 annually
The salary for this position will be negotiated with the successful candidate and will take into consideration the education and experience of the individual.
