The Role
We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our P&H Milling team. This role is responsible for all inventory, warehousing, and distribution activities. This role manages inbound and outbound freight, ensures compliance with safety and organizational policies, and provides strong leadership to support efficient logistics operations.
Day to Day
- Oversee the receipt, handling, storage, and distribution of all incoming and outgoing freight.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure orders are shipped on time and according to schedule.
- Monitor and communicate delays or variances in freight movement.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization while preventing damage or loss.
- Ensure proper documentation for regulated or hazardous materials.
- Supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, delegation, and performance management.
- Conduct inventory spot‑checks, resolve discrepancies, and investigate lost or damaged shipments.
- Manage equipment needs and oversee purchasing of warehouse machinery and supplies.
- Implement and track performance metrics for shipping and receiving functions.
What You’ll Bring:
- Post‑secondary education in supply chain, logistics, business administration, or a related field. Professional designations such as P.Log, CITT, SCMP, or equivalent are considered assets.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the leadership or supervision of warehouse or distribution/logistics operations.
- Familiarity with food safety standards such as BRC, HACCP or SQF.
- Strong Excel skills with solid proficiency in Microsoft Word and the broader Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in environments with flour dust, noise, vibration, and varying temperatures while adhering to all PPE requirements.
