Pacific Rim College | Victoria, BC | On Campus
$23–$26 per hour | Full-Time, Permanent
Pacific Rim College is looking for a warm, highly organized and self-motivated Admissions Coordinator to join our on-campus team in Victoria, BC.
Admissions is often a prospective student's first meaningful connection with Pacific Rim College. Our Admissions Coordinator plays an important role in making that experience welcoming, informative and supportive while helping prospective students move confidently from their initial inquiry through application and enrolment.
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, communicates naturally and professionally, takes initiative, and can independently manage multiple prospective students and applications while working under the direction of our Admissions Director.
About the Role
The Admissions Coordinator works closely with the Admissions Director and is responsible for much of the day-to-day coordination of the prospective student admissions journey.
This is more than an administrative role. The successful candidate will actively communicate with prospective students, answer questions about our programs, conduct campus tours, follow up with prospective students and applicants, assist people through the application process, and ensure admissions records and documentation are complete and accurate.
We're looking for someone who notices what needs to be done and follows through - whether that's reconnecting with a prospective student who hasn't responded, helping an applicant complete outstanding requirements, preparing for an upcoming intake, or ensuring that someone considering Pacific Rim College has the information they need to take their next step.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to prospective student inquiries by email, phone and in person
- Provide friendly, accurate and knowledgeable information about Pacific Rim College programs and admissions requirements
- Build positive relationships with prospective students and help them explore which PRC program may best align with their educational and career goals

- Guide applicants from initial inquiry through application, acceptance and enrolment
- Conduct campus tours and meet with prospective students
- Assist applicants in understanding and completing admissions requirements
- Collect, review and maintain admissions documentation and student records
- Track prospective students and applications to ensure timely follow-up and completion of next steps
- Schedule admissions appointments and support information sessions, open houses and other recruitment activities
- Provide scheduled Front Desk coverage
- Work collaboratively with Admissions, Administration, Academic departments and other members of the PRC team
- Learn and effectively use PRC's student information, communications and administrative systems
- Contribute ideas for improving the prospective student and admissions experience
- Help create an exceptional first impression of Pacific Rim College
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who:
- Genuinely enjoys talking with, supporting and helping people
- Is a self-starter who takes initiative and follows through
- Is warm, personable and confident communicating by phone, email and in person
- Has excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Can independently manage multiple conversations, applications, deadlines and priorities
- Is comfortable following up with prospective students and helping them take the next step

- Is comfortable learning and using new technology, software and administrative systems
- Is dependable, professional and solutions-oriented
- Cares about providing an excellent prospective student and student experience
- Has an interest in holistic health, education and/or creating healthier communities
Previous experience in admissions, student recruitment, education, customer service, administration, sales or another people-focused role would be an asset.
Direct admissions experience is not essential. We are equally interested in finding the right person - someone who is motivated, capable, organized and enthusiastic about connecting with prospective students and learning about the programs we offer.
