The OpportunityWe are looking for a Clinical Counsellor to join Pacific Solstice Group as an independent contractor providing in-person counselling from our Squamish office.
This opportunity is ideal for a clinician who wants the autonomy and flexibility of private practice while benefiting from the infrastructure, referrals, visibility, and collaborative environment of an established group practice.
Clinicians primarily provide individual counselling, with opportunities to work with couples and families based on their experience, training, and areas of interest.
Responsibilities include providing evidence-based, client-centred counselling; conducting assessments and collaborative treatment planning; maintaining timely clinical documentation; managing an independent caseload; and collaborating with other professionals when appropriate.
Contractor Structure & CompensationThis is an independent contractor position operating on a 70/30 fee split, with the clinician receiving 70% of collected session fees and Pacific Solstice Group retaining 30%.
Pacific Solstice Group provides clinical space and practice infrastructure to support clinicians in establishing and growing their caseload.
Clinicians maintain autonomy over their clinical practice and scheduling. We are looking for someone interested in establishing a consistent presence within the practice, with approximately 4–6 hours of in-person availability per week to support continuity for clients and sustainable caseload growth.
There is opportunity to increase availability as your caseload develops.
Qualifications- Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related clinical field
- Current registration and good standing with BCACC and/or BCCSW
- Strong counselling, interpersonal, and relational skills
- Experience with evidence-based therapeutic approaches
- Ability to independently assess, conceptualize, and develop treatment plans
- Strong clinical documentation and case management skills
- Commitment to ethical, compassionate, and client-centred practice
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative clinical environment
- Availability to provide in-person counselling in Squamish, BC
