Business Development RepresentativeParallels has an immediate vacancy for this role.
Parallels is hiring.
We're looking for a Business Development Representative with at least two years of outbound prospecting experience who knows how to create opportunities from scratch.
This role is for someone who enjoys the challenge of opening new conversations, isn't afraid of picking up the phone, and understands that successful prospecting is a combination of persistence, curiosity, and execution.
You'll be responsible for generating pipeline across our target markets, working closely with Account Executives and Channel Partners to identify opportunities and help organisations solve their digital workspace and remote working challenges.
If you're motivated by results, enjoy learning new technology, and want to be part of a business with ambitious growth plans, we'd like to hear from you.
Why Parallels?Parallels is in an exciting phase of growth. We've invested in our people, our brand, and our go-to-market strategy, creating a real opportunity for the right person to make an impact.
We offer a flexible working environment, a supportive culture, and the chance to work with experienced sales professionals who genuinely want to help you succeed.
Most importantly, you'll be joining a team that values effort, accountability, collaboration, and achievement.
What You'll Be Doing
- Building pipeline through outbound activity including calling, email, LinkedIn outreach, and targeted sales campaigns.
- Identifying and researching prospective customers and key decision-makers.
- Qualifying opportunities and understanding customer challenges through discovery conversations.
- Securing meetings for the sales team and creating opportunities that convert into revenue.
- Working closely with Account Executives, Marketing, and Channel Partners to support pipeline generation activities.
- Supporting events, webinars, and campaigns designed to drive demand.
- Managing activity and opportunity data accurately in Salesforce.
- Following up consistently and professionally to maximise engagement and conversion rates.
- Achieving and exceeding activity, meeting, and pipeline generation targets.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in a BDR, SDR, Business Development, or Sales Development role.
- A track record of generating opportunities through outbound prospecting.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confidence speaking with business and technical decision-makers.
- The ability to handle rejection positively and maintain momentum.
- A proactive approach and a willingness to learn.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience using tools such as Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Salesloft, Outreach, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Nice to Have, But Not Essential
- Experience working within a SaaS or software company.
- Exposure to Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Remote Desktop, Digital Workspace, Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS), Citrix, VMware Horizon, Azure Virtual Desktop, or related technologies.
- Experience engaging with IT, Infrastructure, End User Computing (EUC), Security, or Digital Workplace teams.
What Success Looks LikeSuccessful BDRs at Parallels are proactive, resilient, and consistent. They don't wait for opportunities to come to them. They create them.
They understand that not every call will connect, not every prospect will respond, and not every conversation will become an opportunity. They stay focused, keep learning, and continue building pipeline regardless.
In return, you'll have the opportunity to develop your sales career in a growing organisation where your contribution is recognised and your success has a visible impact on the business.
If you're looking for your next challenge and want to join a team that values effort, ambition, and results, we'd love to hear from you.
