Role Description This full-time Paralegal role is an on-site position based in Markham, ON. The Paralegal supports legal and collections activities by preparing and organizing legal documents, forms, and correspondence related to fines, fees, and account receivables. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal and factual research, reviewing case files and documentation for accuracy and completeness, and maintaining organized records and databases. The role involves collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders, drafting and processing court or regulatory filings, and assisting with compliance procedures and timelines. The Paralegal is expected to manage multiple matters simultaneously, follow established procedures, and contribute to efficient, professional client service.
Qualifications
LSO Paralegal license
- Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, formatting, and organizing legal forms, letters, and filings.
- Effective Communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal teams, clients, and external parties.
- Solid Research capabilities for gathering legal, regulatory, and case-related information and summarizing findings clearly.
- Attention to detail in Document Review, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency across case files,
- Experience in collections, litigation support, or working with government or financial institutions is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple files and deadlines.
- Proficiency with common office software and legal/document management systems.
