About the Role
We are seeking a Behaviour Therapy Assistant (BTA) to join our growing team. Under the supervision of a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA), the BTA will:
- Provide 1:1 direct ABA intervention
- Support and facilitate therapeutic group sessions
- Help clients build communication, social, self-regulation, academic, and daily living skills
This role is ideal for someone who is empathetic, organized, and excited to work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and group therapy sessions using ABA strategies (e.g., DTT, NET, task analysis, reinforcement)
- Implement individualized treatment and behaviour support plans
- Support clients to build adaptive skills and reduce challenging behaviours
- Collect, chart, and summarize data to monitor client progress
- Collaborate with RBAs, therapists, families, and caregivers to promote skill generalization across settings
- Maintain accurate, timely session notes and documentation in line with clinical and organizational standards
- Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing professional development
- Help ensure therapy environments are safe, supportive, and engaging
- Transport clients within community to therapy sessions, recreation and leisure and to centre as needed
Education & Experience
- Post-secondary education in Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, Child and Youth Studies, or a related field (preferred)
- Experience working with neurodiverse individuals and/or in an ABA setting is an asset
Skills & Attributes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to respond to challenging behaviours in a calm, professional, and trauma-informed manner
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and data collection skills
- Flexible, empathetic, and team-oriented approach
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly rate: To be discussed based on qualifications and experience ($28-32/hr)

Schedule
- Part-time evening and rotational weekends urgently needed (9-20 hrs per week)

Requirements
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check (renewed every 2 years)
- Proof of eligibility to work in Canada
- Valid driver's licence and ability to drive clients when needed
