NSL Winnipeg is a new professional club in the Northern Super League, Canada’s professional women’s soccer league. As the club prepares for launch, it is building the financial, operational, and administrative foundation needed to support a sustainable business and a strong experience for players, employees, partners, and fans.
This is an opportunity to be part of building a professional sports organization from the ground up. The Executive Assistant will play an important role in supporting the Club President, coordinating day-to-day priorities, and helping establish the administrative structure needed as the organization prepares for its inaugural season in April 2027.
This is a broad and hands-on role for an experienced administrative professional who enjoys variety and is comfortable taking on responsibilities beyond traditional executive support. Working closely with the President and senior leadership team, the Executive Assistant will manage scheduling, communications, office coordination, and administrative activities while helping to keep priorities moving forward in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Position Overview:
- Provide comprehensive executive and administrative support to the Club President, including calendar management, scheduling, correspondence, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, and day-to-day priorities.
- Draft, review, and respond to correspondence on behalf of the President.
- Coordinate meetings involving the President, senior leadership, ownership, and external partners, including preparing agendas, organizing materials, taking minutes, and tracking action items and follow-up.
- Support the coordination of the club’s office space and day-to-day administrative operations, working with senior employees, vendors, and service providers to ensure the team has the resources needed to operate effectively.
- Help build processes and administrative systems, electronic records, and shared resources, making effective use of technology to improve communication, coordination, and workflow across the organization.
- Work closely with the President and leadership team to coordinate projects, monitor deadlines, resolve day-to-day challenges, and take on additional administrative and operational responsibilities as the club grows.
Ideal Qualifications and Experience:
- You bring demonstrated experience in an Executive Assistant, senior administrative, or executive support role, ideally within a corporate or business environment.
- You have experience working in, or enjoy the challenges of, a fast-paced start-up environment where priorities evolve, ambiguity is expected, and you are comfortable taking initiative, solving problems, and creating structure where processes may not yet exist.
- You have experience supporting C-suite executives or senior leadership, including managing competing priorities, coordinating complex schedules, and communicating professionally on behalf of executives.
- You bring strong administrative, organizational, and technology skills.
- You are proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented, with the ability to anticipate needs, solve problems independently, and adapt as priorities change.
- You are collaborative and hands-on, with an interest in contributing beyond traditional executive support in a growing organization where processes are still being established and responsibilities will evolve. Previous experience in professional sport or live entertainment is not required.
