Lead planning on a multi-billion flagship Toronto transit project, with a genuine opportunity to step up in scale, responsibility and long-term career growth.
You’ll lead a team of five and inherit a mature programme, with direct exposure to the Project Controls Lead and Project Director. Beyond the current project, the business is well positioned on two further multi billion projects due to start in 2027, giving you the opportunity to build planning functions and programs from scratch, grow teams and help shape the next generation of major infrastructure projects.
Backed by a business generating $4bn+ in annual revenue with a ~$11bn secured order book, its self delivery model gives you real influence over resources, logic and sequencing across earthworks, concrete, MEPH and utilities.
What you'll be doing
- Own and maintain the master programme in Primavera P6 against the approved baseline.
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of five planners.
- Manage progress updates, critical path analysis, forecasting and reporting for project leadership and alliance partners.
- Work closely with construction, engineering and commercial teams to ensure the programme reflects actual delivery.
- Identify schedule risk and lead recovery and mitigation planning.
- Support change management, delay analysis and time-related commercial matters.
- Contribute to future major pursuits, including developing new programmes from scratch.
What you'll bring
- A delivery background, ideally with a civil engineering degree and experience in site or construction roles before moving into planning. Alternative routes will be considered.
- Contractor-side planning experience on major civil or transit infrastructure, ideally at Planning Manager, Lead Planner or Senior Planner level.
- Strong Primavera P6 skills, including critical path analysis, resource planning and progress reporting.
- Experience leading and developing planners and building strong team culture.
- The right character: humble, proactive and collaborative, with the emotional and social intelligence to build trust from site teams through to senior stakeholders.
What you’ll get
- $180,000–$200,000 base salary, two annual bonuses (profit share and project bonus), 6% retirement contribution, medical cover, four weeks’ leave and Christmas shutdown.
- For international relocators, a dedicated global mobilisation team will support you throughout the move, including visas, paperwork and settling into Toronto, with all reasonable relocation costs covered.
