Audit Senior – CPA

With a longstanding reputation for professional service and strong client relationships, they are now looking to add an experienced Audit Senior (CPA) to their team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and professional public accounting team where you will manage engagements from start to finish, work directly with a diverse client base, and provide guidance to junior team members.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Prepare and review year-end compilation, review, and audit engagements from start to finish, including financial statements and note disclosures
- Prepare and review corporate, personal, and trust tax returns
- Prepare and review T4s, T5s and other tax slips, as well as HST, WSIB and EHT filings
- Research accounting issues and provide recommendations regarding appropriate accounting treatment
- Communicate directly with the Canada Revenue Agency regarding tax matters and client inquiries
- Lead client meetings, present audit findings and provide recommendations
- Manage multiple engagements, deadlines and reporting requirements
- Review and oversee work completed by junior staff
What We’re Looking For
- Completed University or College education in Accounting
- CPA designation – completed
- Minimum 3 years of experience with a Canadian public accounting firm
- Strong experience with CaseWare, CaseView, TaxPrep (T1, T2, T3 and Forms), QuickBooks and Sage
- Solid understanding of ASPE, ASNPO and the Income Tax Act
- Current knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple files and competing deadlines
