Role Description This part-time Machine Operator role is an on-site position located in Garson, MB. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring food production machinery used in the preparation and packaging of pierogies, following established procedures and safety guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include setting up machines, performing basic adjustments, checking product quality, and ensuring equipment is supplied with materials. The role also involves cleaning and maintaining machines and work areas, reporting any issues or malfunctions, and working closely with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules. The Machine Operator is expected to follow food safety regulations, adhere to company policies, and contribute to a safe, orderly, and respectful workplace.
Qualifications
- Ability to operate and monitor production equipment, including Machine Operation and working safely around Machinery.
- Experience or aptitude in Quality Control, including visually inspecting products and following quality standards.
- Basic skills using Hand Tools for simple adjustments, cleaning, and minor machine maintenance.
- Strong Communication skills to follow instructions, report issues, and collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and follow food safety and workplace safety procedures.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or machine operation is an asset but not required; training may be provided.
- Ability to work part-time shifts on-site in Garson, MB, with consistent punctuality and a positive, respectful attitude.
