Role Description The Pharmacien will be responsible for providing safe, accurate, and timely dispensing of prescription medications, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and professional standards. Day-to-day activities include reviewing and validating prescriptions, offering medication counseling, advising on drug interactions and treatment options, and responding to patient questions with clear, compassionate communication. The role also involves overseeing medication preparation, maintaining proper documentation, supporting inventory management, and collaborating with pharmacy staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service. The Pharmacien will contribute to health promotion initiatives, provide guidance on over-the-counter products, and help maintain a welcoming environment for all customers. This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Montreal Metropolitan Area.
Qualifications
- Licensed Pharmacist (or eligibility for licensure) in Québec and graduation from an accredited pharmacy program.
- Strong clinical pharmacy knowledge, including pharmacotherapy, drug interactions, and patient safety practices.
- Proficiency in prescription verification, dispensing processes, and regulatory compliance in a community pharmacy setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient counseling, collaboration with healthcare professionals, and customer service.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
- Comfort with pharmacy management systems, digital tools, and basic computer applications.
- Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and inclusive, non-discriminatory care for diverse populations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and to stand for extended periods as required in an on-site pharmacy setting.
- Fluency in French is required; proficiency in English is an asset.
