Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Apprentice Glazier, located in Victoria, BC. We are looking for a motivated and reliable Apprentice Glazier to join our growing team. If you’re eager to learn a skilled trade, enjoy hands-on work, and take pride in quality results, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
As an Apprentice Glazier, you will assist in the installation and repair of Curtain wall, Storefront, doors, and other glass structures. Daily tasks will include measuring, lay out, assembling and installing window glazing and aluminum framing materials. You will also be expected to maintain your tools and company equipment, follow safety guidelines and procedures, and provide support to the team.
Responsibilities
- Assist experienced glaziers in measuring, installing glass and framing for Curtain walls, Storefronts, doors, mirrors, skylights and other glazing applications
- Learn to handle and install glass safely and efficiently
- Operate tools and equipment related to glass fabrication and installation
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite and shop
- Support team members with loading, unloading, and transporting materials
- Follow safety protocols and company standards at all times
Qualifications
- Skills in handling Aluminum window products, Glazing, and Doors is an asset
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Reading, writing, communicating and mathematical abilities required
- Valid Driver’s license suggested
- Experience with working at heights is beneficial
- Strong customer service, attention to details and a commitment to safety
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects
