The Opportunity
Phoenix Metals is a growth-focused copper and gold exploration company based in Grand Forks, British Columbia, with an exciting opportunity for an Exploration Geologist to join our team in the historic Greenwood Gold Camp.
This is an opportunity to join a growing exploration company at an important stage of its development and contribute directly to a significant exploration drilling program. Working as part of a collaborative and technically focused exploration team, the Exploration Geologist will be involved in drill core logging, geological interpretation, surface exploration and target development, while contributing to the advancement of a broader camp-scale geological model.
Based on-site in Grand Forks, this role combines hands-on exploration work with geological interpretation and provides exposure to advanced exploration practices, training and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
· Conduct detailed drill core logging in a modern, high-tech facility.
· Interpret drill sections and contribute to the development and refinement of geological models.
· Conduct surface mapping, sampling and interpretation of geological information.
· Work with a diverse exploration team to develop and refine exploration approaches for defining and ranking targets, with the goal of growing resources and making new discoveries.
· Apply scientific knowledge and geological theory, using sound independent judgment and decision-making in carrying out assigned work.
· Complete assigned tasks effectively with minimal supervision.
· Ensure that company and industry standards are followed in all exploration activities.
· Prepare and present clear, comprehensive reports on geological findings and exploration activities.
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will bring:
· A Bachelor of Science degree in Geosciences, Geology or related discipline.
· A minimum of two years of exploration-related industry experience.
· Registration as a Geoscientist-in-Training (GIT) with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC), or eligibility to obtain registration.
· Structural geology skills considered an asset.
· Strong analytical and organizational skills.
· Excellent communication skills, including oral, written, listening and presentation skills.
· Ability to work in remote and challenging environments.
· Proficiency with GIS software is considered an asset, such as ArcGIS Pro or QGIS.
· Proficiency with geological modelling software considered an asset, such as Leapfrog, Vulcan, Micromine, etc
Location & Work Schedule
The position follows a 14-days-on / 7-days-off rotation, working 10-hour shifts.
The Company will provide accommodation in connection with your work at the Greenwood Precious Metals project. Alternatively, this position may be based in Grand Forks, British Columbia with no travel requirement, allowing you to return home at the end of each workday.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 per year, depending on the successful candidate's skills and experience.
