Role Description This full-time, on-site Construction Tech / Tank Installer role is based in Eastern Canada and focuses on constructing, installing, and maintaining fuel storage tanks and related infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with site preparation, installing above-ground and underground tanks, assembling piping and related systems, and supporting the construction of fueling and storage facilities in accordance with technical drawings and specifications. The role involves performing basic inspections, quality checks, and documentation to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards. The Construction Tech / Tank Installer will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades on-site, follow established safety protocols, and help maintain tools, equipment, and work areas. The position may also support project planning activities, such as tracking materials, reporting progress, and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.
Qualifications
- Construction-related skills, including experience with tank installation, site work, and understanding of construction methods and safety practices.
- Architecture and Inspection skills to interpret drawings, layouts, and technical specifications and to assist with on-site quality and compliance checks.
- Budgeting skills to support project cost awareness, material tracking, and efficient use of resources.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office for documenting work, preparing reports, and communicating project updates.
- Knowledge of petroleum storage and fueling systems, or related industrial/mechanical experience, is an asset.
- Ability to work safely in outdoor and industrial environments, including lifting, climbing, and operating hand and power tools.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality and compliance.
- Relevant trade certification, technical diploma, or equivalent practical experience in construction or mechanical fields is preferred.
