OUR VALUES
- Integrity: We do the right thing even when it’s hard.
- Teamwork: We are one team, on a big mission.
- Innovation: We value creative solutions for emerging opportunities.
- Accountability: We honour our commitments.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a curious, service-oriented co-op student to join our IT team. This is a hands-on placement for a student currently enrolled in an Information Technology, Computer Science or related program who wants real experience in a growing tech company.
Our team runs on its equipment. When a laptop fails or an account is not ready on someone’s first morning, work stops. You will help keep that from happening. You will start alongside our IT team and take on straightforward tickets in your first weeks, then take on more independently as the term progresses: workstation builds, onboarding setups, hardware troubleshooting and the documentation that makes it repeatable.
This role is on-site five days per week. The work is hands-on with physical equipment, and being here is also how you will learn the most from the team around you.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Respond to internal IT support tickets under the guidance of the IT team, escalating anything beyond your current scope.
- Help prepare workstations for new employees: imaging laptops, setting up monitors, docking stations and peripherals.
- Make sure new starters have the accounts and access they need on day one, and assist with equipment collection when people leave.
- Perform basic account tasks in Microsoft 365, including password resets, group membership and licence assignment, with oversight.
- Troubleshoot common hardware and software issues on Windows and macOS.
- Help maintain our inventory of hardware, software licences and IT supplies.
- Write and update knowledge base articles for common fixes.
- Support IT projects and rollouts as an extra set of hands.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Essential
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering Technology or a related field, returning to studies after the work term.
- Genuine curiosity about how things work, and a willingness to ask questions rather than guess.
- Clear, friendly communication. You will be helping colleagues who are not technical.
- Organized enough to keep track of several open tickets at once.
- Comfortable with the basics of Windows and macOS, and with handling computer equipment.
Nice to have
- Any prior help desk, retail tech support, campus IT or personal-project experience, including a home lab or PC builds.
- Exposure to Microsoft 365, ticketing systems, or Microsoft Entra ID and Intune.
- Basic scripting or automation curiosity (PowerShell, Bash).
PERKS AND BENEFITS
- 100% employer-paid flexible benefits plan
- Comprehensive Health & Dental coverage
- Hybrid Work Environment
- Professional Development Incentive
- Opportunities to grow as we scale
- The backing of a global industry leader through REA Group
