About the Role
Multifaceted role combining account management, campaign execution, content production and digital marketing. Own client accounts and relationships; coordinate integrated campaigns; create visual content; manage shoots, influencer partnerships and paid media; review performance and present recommendations. Collaborate with internal team, external specialists, creators and clients; guide junior team members; review deliverables; improve workflows. Connect strategy with execution and independently deliver projects end-to-end across multiple brands and industries.
What You’ll Do
1. Content Production & Design
- Develop creative concepts and content plans aligned with client objectives, brand priorities and campaign requirements.
- Plan, coordinate and lead content shoots, including shot lists, production schedules, talent coordination and on-site execution.
- Capture and edit photo and video content for social media, digital campaigns and other marketing channels.
- Produce short-form video content, including Instagram Reels, TikToks and other formats.
- Manage content production from concept through shooting, editing, revisions, approvals and delivery.
- Create and adapt graphic-design assets, including social media graphics, digital ads and campaign materials.
- Write/adapt social copy and prepare it for client review/publication.
- Coordinate internal designers, external creative partners and client-side resources for specialized production.
- Ensure content aligns with brand guidelines, objectives and platform requirements.
- Stay informed on emerging creative trends, formats and production techniques.
- Be comfortable producing content yourself, not just directing or coordinating others.
2. Account & Campaign Management
- Own client accounts and turn marketing strategies into well-executed campaigns.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact, managing communications, expectations and relationships.
- Manage deliverables, timelines, feedback, approvals and next steps.
- Coordinate integrated campaigns across content, social, influencer, paid media, partnerships and activations.
- Translate objectives/briefs into plans, tasks and deliverables.
- Develop campaign timelines, content calendars, project plans and documentation.
- Coordinate internal team, specialists, vendors, creators and stakeholders.
- Lead/participate in client meetings, present updates/recommendations and follow through.
- Coordinate approvals/revisions and maintain brand/campaign consistency.
- Support budgets/resource allocation and proactively flag scope, timeline or budget issues.
- Coordinate on-site activations, events and campaign initiatives, including occasional travel.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships, improve campaign execution and deliver additional value.
- Independently manage day-to-day account details while knowing when to collaborate, escalate issues or bring in additional expertise.
3. Influencer Marketing
- Research/evaluate influencers and creators for audience fit, brand suitability and campaign objectives.
- Coordinate influencer gifting, product seeding, paid partnerships and experiential campaigns.
- Manage creator outreach, negotiations, briefs, requirements and deliverables.
- Coordinate influencer contracts and approvals with internal team members.
- Act as a point of contact between creators, clients and internal stakeholders throughout campaign execution.
- Review influencer content against brand guidelines, objectives and deliverables.
- Track timelines, posting schedules, creator deliverables and performance.
- Coordinate product shipments, event participation and influencer logistics.
- Contribute to influencer reporting and identify learnings for future initiatives.
- Maintain positive relationships with creators and external partners.
4. Strategy, Digital Marketing & Reporting
- Contribute to content, social media and integrated marketing strategies.
- Translate client objectives and audience insights into actionable campaign and content recommendations.
- Monitor campaign performance and identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Prepare/present recurring client reports, campaign recaps and performance recommendations.
- Coordinate paid media priorities, creative requirements, budgets and optimization with specialists.
- Review paid media performance and recommend creative direction, positioning and priorities.
- Conduct SEO reviews and identify website, search and content optimization opportunities.
- Communicate SEO insights and recommendations based on search performance and business objectives.
- Use analytics and performance data to inform future content, campaign and marketing decisions.
- Advanced paid media buying or technical SEO specialization is not required; a solid understanding, comfort interpreting performance data and ability to collaborate with specialists is expected.
5. Internal Team Coordination & Operations
- Provide day-to-day guidance and support to the Account Associate and other junior team members.
- Delegate tasks, communicate expectations and review work for accuracy, quality and brand consistency.
- Coordinate responsibilities and priorities across internal team members and external collaborators.
- Document and communicate client requirements, deadlines, deliverables and feedback.
- Follow, maintain and improve SOPs for recurring account and campaign activities.
- Help refine workflows for content production, influencer coordination, client approvals, community management and reporting.
- Improve efficiency through processes, technology, automation and AI-assisted workflows.
- Participate in planning, creative brainstorming and team meetings.
- Support Popcorn’s own brand initiatives and contribute ideas.
- Collaborative leadership, not formal people management; help teammates succeed and take initiative.
Essential Experience & Skills
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience in marketing, content creation, social media, account management or a related field; agency experience is a strong asset.
- Ability to independently manage client relationships, marketing campaigns or multiple concurrent projects.
- Hands-on photography, videography and video editing, with a portfolio of personally created content.
- Experience planning/executing shoots from concept and production through editing and delivery.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, CapCut or comparable tools.
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and other major social platforms, including formats, trends and best practices.
- Experience with content calendars, campaign coordination and client approvals.
- Excellent written/verbal communication; confidence leading client conversations and diverse stakeholders.
- Strong project management, organization and time management; able to balance clients and deadlines.
- Working understanding of digital marketing analytics and ability to turn performance data into insights/recommendations.
- Strong attention to detail, quality and consistency across brands/projects.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced agency.
- Availability for occasional on-site shoots, events and activations, including some evenings, weekends or travel.
- A degree or diploma in marketing, communications, design or a related field is an asset; relevant experience, skills and portfolio matter more.
