PowerBank Corporation is seeking an experienced NetSuite Implementation Consultant to support our ongoing migration from QuickBooks to NetSuite. This hands-on contract role will lead the preparation, migration, validation, and reconciliation of financial and historical data and help ensure a controlled, accurate transition between systems.
The successful consultant must be available to work on-site at our Victoria Park Avenue and Highway 401 location and will collaborate closely with our finance, accounting, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Review the current QuickBooks-to-NetSuite migration plan, data structure, and implementation status.
- Extract, clean, organize, and validate financial and operational data from QuickBooks and other applicable sources.
- Prepare PowerBank's June 30, 2026 data using NetSuite's required data-import templates.
- Upload approved data into NetSuite and resolve import errors, mapping issues, and data-quality exceptions.
- Prepare detailed reconciliations between QuickBooks, source records, and NetSuite.
- Support parallel operation of QuickBooks and NetSuite throughout the first quarter following migration.
- Compare transactions, account balances, subledgers, and financial reports across both systems to confirm data-transfer accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during parallel reporting.
- Develop and execute a structured approach for uploading all required historical data into NetSuite.
- Validate opening balances, general ledger data, customer and vendor records, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other relevant records.
- Maintain clear documentation of data mappings, upload procedures, reconciliations, issues, and resolutions.
- Provide progress updates, communicate risks and dependencies, and transfer knowledge to designated PowerBank team members.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience implementing NetSuite or migrating financial data into the platform.
- Strong hands-on experience with NetSuite data-import templates, CSV imports, saved searches, reporting, and reconciliation.
- Previous experience migrating from QuickBooks to NetSuite.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, general ledger structures, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
- Proven ability to clean, map, upload, validate, and reconcile significant volumes of financial data.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, lookups, pivot tables, and reconciliation techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet project deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work on-site at the required location.
Preferred Qualifications
- NetSuite certification or equivalent implementation experience.
- Experience supporting financial-system cutovers and parallel-system operations.
- Experience migrating multiple years of historical financial data.
- Familiarity with data governance, audit trails, internal controls, and month-end or year-end close processes.
- Experience working with public companies or organizations with complex reporting requirements.
Contract Deliverables
- Complete and validated NetSuite import templates for June 30, 2026 data.
- Successful upload of approved financial and operational data.
- Documented reconciliations confirming agreement between source records and NetSuite.
- Parallel-system reporting and discrepancy resolution throughout the first quarter.
- Successful migration and validation of all historical data within the agreed scope.
- Complete data-mapping, import, reconciliation, and issue-resolution documentation.
- Knowledge transfer to designated PowerBank team members.
